Slip resistant decking systems

External decking areas can be a slip hazard, especially walkways, after rainfall. Selecting the correct, slip resistant decking is essential to minimize the risk and to provide a safe outside space that can be enjoyed by all.

Adek offers two slip resistant decking systems, Comfort & Enhanced grip, both of which have been tested in accordance with HSE guidelines and are categorized as having low slip potential when tested to BS7976-2 in wet and dry conditions.

As the name would suggest, our Enhanced Grip decking boards offer an additional 15% slip resistance in dry conditions and an impressive extra 20% slip resistance in wet conditions over our Comfort Grip decking boards, making them an ultra-safe option for external walkways. This extra grip is achieved through a low profile (1mm) raised ridge running the full length of the boards.
