Slip resistant aluminium decking boards
External decking areas can be a slip hazard, especially walkways, when wet. Selecting the correct, slip resistant decking is essential to minimise the risk and to provide a safe outside space that can be enjoyed by all.
Adek offers two slip resistant aluminium decking boards: Adek Comfort Grip and Adek Enhanced Grip. Both have been tested in accordance with HSE guidelines and are categorised as having low slip potential when tested to BS7976-2 in wet and dry conditions.
Adek Enhanced Grip offers an additional 15% slip resistance in dry conditions and an impressive extra 20% slip resistance in wet conditions over Adek Comfort Grip. This is achieved through a low profile (1mm) raised ridge running the full length of the boards.

As the name would suggest, our Enhanced Grip decking boards offer an additional 15% slip resistance in dry conditions and an impressive extra 20% slip resistance in wet conditions over our Comfort Grip decking boards, making them an ultra-safe option for external walkways. This extra grip is achieved through a low profile (1mm) raised ridge running the full length of the boards.
All Adek decking boards have a decorative powder coat finish which has been formulated to provide good contact between footwear, or bare feet, and the deck surface, for slip resistant decking, regardless of your footwear..
