Aluminium A2 fire rated, balcony decking

Adek aluminium decking systema are lightweight, non-combustible and A2fl-s1/A2-s1, d0 fire rated - ideal for high-rise balcony projects.

A2 fire-rated, slip resistant and durable aluminium decking system.

It is now a legal requirement for any building materials incorporated into the envelope of a high rise building, exceeding 11 metres in height, to be non-combustible. These regulations make aluminium balcony decking the most obvious and beneficial choice.

Adek aluminium decking is fully compliant with the Building Regulation 2018 (BS 8579:2020), due to its A2fl-s1 / A2-s1, d0 fire rating.

Adek is a brand of Ecodek, a leading UK decking manufacturer with a long-standing pedigree in supplying decking for commercial balcony projects.

Designed for easy installation

For fast installation, Adek boards use a quick face-fixing method, through specially designed channels. This removes the need for fiddly clips, maintaining a flush final finish. Furthermore, the optional extra wide 295mm boards dramatically reduce installation time.

As well as fitting on-site, Adek has also been designed to allow for complete off-site installation onto prefabricated balcony units without the need to leave off individual boards when craning into position.

Mark Sweeney, Co-Director

“This is our first installation of a aluminium decking to a full apartment block and we’re very happy with the materials used, along with the finished look and feel, which has been greatly received by residents.

We believe that the removal of existing combustible material can only be a good thing in helping mitigate the chances of potential fire situations starting on balconies. We recommend all owners of apartments with balconies to upgrade to aluminium decking in the efforts to keep everyone safe and reduce the chances of fire related incidents.”
