Taylor Wimpey's £19.5m Wick Lane project in Bow, London
The £19.5m (est) project also includes retail and employment spaces, public realm areas, parking provision, access areas and general landscaping which comes after the demolition of an exisiting development on site.
Sub-contractor NOBEL HOUSE installed the Adek Balcony and Terrace System on the first phase of the project, a combination of built in and bolt on balconies across six storeys. With it’s profile of 20mm x 295mm, Adek’s extra wide board meant a fast and easy fixing solution for those balconies built in on site. Equally the unique ability to retain a sacrificial lifting eye until bolt on balconies were installed on site gave the installation additional speed at a time when every minute on site counted during the Spring and Summer of 2020. The Adek Balcony and Terrace system meets the revised Building Regulations with a fire rating of A2FL-S1,having undergone independent third-party testing to BS EN 13501-1: 2018.
The following phases of the project are now in progress, with Adek specified on the remaining balcony installations across this vast site.
